Both genuine Minelab coils include protective skidplates and are waterproof to 16 feet (5 meters).

The large elliptical M15 coil is designed for maximum depth and broad ground coverage. It is an excellent choice for detecting open fields, beaches, pastures and other locations where covering more ground efficiently is important.

These coils are designed specifically for the Minelab Manticore metal detector.
They are not compatible with Minelab Equinox, X-Terra, Vanquish, CTX 3030 or other detector families.

It is also ideal for detecting in difficult terrain. The M8 coil weighs 400g with the included protective skidplate, bringing total weight of the MANTICORE detector to 1.2kg with the M8 attached.
The 15 x 12-inch elliptical Double-D M15 coil is waterproof to 5 m (16 ft) and provides maximum depth for specialized treasure hunting. It is also great for wide ground coverage in open spaces. The M15 coil weighs 650g with the included protective skidplate, bringing total weight of the MANTICORE metal detector to 1.45kg with the M15 attached.
