Minelab Manticore Metal Detector M15 Double-D Coil with Skidplate - 15" x 12"

First of all High Plains Prospectors is the best place to purchase anything including this metal detector! I'm replacing a 28 year old Whites Spectrum XLT with the Manticore. While the settings was a little intimidating at first, they are easy to learn and adjustments are simply done on the fly in the field. The high and low conductors are easily distinguished with separate High and low pitch tones, and the 2D display provides excellent visual information to help in the decision process of whether or not to dig the target confidently. All this audio and visual information makes the Manticore an Awesome Highly adjustable Metal Detector. I'm glad I bought this detector, it is truly Outstanding!

Got the manticore as scheduled in perfect condition and all the free stuff is great.

The Manticore is much more technical than my Vanquish 440. Even though I get agitated a bit from the constant chatter, I know its part of the learning curve of operating a performance enhanced machine. I'm impressed how much deeper it reaches than the 440. Plenty of videos to help me learn and get better. No regret in this purchase either. Thank you High Plains!!

After years of exciting metal detector adventures, and finding some really neat artifacts, it’s time to pass the excitement, stories, and love of treasure hunting on to my daughter. It is also time to retire my old favorite CXT3030 detector for a state of the art new machine, a Minelab Manticore. High Plains Prospectors made it all possible. They took in my old machine as a trade and made me a fair deal. Now my daughter has a powerful machine that she can basically use right out of the box.. I hope she enjoys metal detecting as much as as I have! There is nothing better than the feeling of returning something like a ring or necklace to an owner that felt they lost a piece of their life.
