Gimmicky and not realistically functional

There are several things wrong with this crusher.

First, the seam of the tube interferes with the plunger component, resulting in you regularly snagging against the tube wall, losing any momentum you had.

Second, the plunger itself is not cut square, so as you thrust downward, you again rub against the tube wall, losing momentum.

Third, the base of the tube part is too small to sufficiently hold with your feet. So now you have to hold it with one hand and sorta crush with your other hand. Now, speaking of hands, the handle of the plunger is just the right size to NOT fit your hands. It's too small, and since you're always catching on the tube wall, you end up with the thing jabbing into your hands nonstop because you cant hold it properly.

Lastly, as others have pointed out, the inside of the tube has a large gap against the base, so if you're crushing different ore, you're gonna get mixing between batches.

Now, let's talk ore. Gold is commonly found in quartz. So on top of all the above issues, the plunger gets all marred up as you crush quartz, which has a hardness of 7.

The design, construction, and functionality of this "crusher" make it only useful for maybe lime and gypsum.

The only reason I gave 2 stars instead of 1 star is that the welds haven't broken...yet.
