The Gold Trapper Gold Pan combines the familiar discharge end of a traditional round gold pan with a rectangular working area that provides greater control over your material.
This newly released pan is an updated version of the original Gold Grabber pan, which is no longer manufactured. The distinctive 15-by-11-inch shape provides steep sides, five deep angled riffles, and a textured bottom designed to help retain gold while quickly removing lighter material.
The rounded discharge end allows you to wash material away using familiar gold-panning techniques. The rectangular back provides a comfortable working area that makes it easier to control, stratify, and inspect concentrates.
Its compact shape also fits inside many standard 5-gallon buckets and backpacks for easier transportation.

The built-in textured bottom gives the Gold Trapper a slightly roughened surface for better control of fine gold and black sand. Unlike many smooth plastic pans, it does not require sanding or roughing before its first use.
Wash the pan with dish soap and water before use to remove any manufacturing residue or oils.

Newly Released! An updated version of the old Gold Grabber pan which is no longer manufactured. These Gold Trapper pans are a unique blend of rectangular and round gold pans. The normal discharge end is round like a conventional gold pan while the back end is rectangular to make it easier to work the material. The Gold Trapper pan is 15 inches long and 11 inches wide. Green in color.
Featuring 5 deep, angled riffles and steep sides, the Gold Trapper allows you to capture more gold. The steep sides force material down and allow you to hold more material. Unlike traditional round gold pans that hold the same volume the Gold Trapper fits into a 5 gallon bucket or backpack for easy transport.
The Gold Trapper gold pan is ready to use with no conditioning needed due to the built in, "sandblasted" bottom which requires no roughing up or break ion.

The gold trapper pan in my opinion is a very good pan. Tuff pans are a little harder to break in but worth the effort, lightly going over the bottom of the pan with 1000 grit sandpaper so you don't take the textured bottom off helps it stay wet quicker. It pans good, does good on clean ups. In my personal opinion it's the perfect pan to walk the creeks with and locate gold deposits, it being longer you don't have to bend over as much. Making it perfect for locating gold deposits.
I like the rectangular textured bottom. It’s like a Miller table for cleanup.
Great pan! I took it out on the river and it works great, the ease of use is just as stated. It really holds back the black sands and gold until last. It has no problem holding back even tiny flour gold. Once it fully breaks in, it will become an amazing tool in my collection! Even though it has a pre-seasoned texture, I think it can still use a little extra seasoning to scuff it up and break it in quicker. I highly recommend it to anyone looking for something a little different and wants to cut down your panning time a bit, every little bit helps! Thank you! -Hammer Prospecting-
Definitely made well. No cheap plastic used. The bottom is textured but i still seasoned it. The ripples are deep. I'm still learning hos to use it. I do like it. Easy to use one handed.
Pan is awesome! Glad to have found one!
