Process gold-bearing material at home, in the desert or anywhere water is limited with the RDH Gold Buster Mini Recirculating Highbanker. This self-contained package includes the highbanker, 18-gallon reservoir tub, tub stand, gravel catch, 12-volt pump, hose and recovery matting.
The recirculating design lets you reuse the same water instead of relying on continuous creek flow. Fill the included tub, connect a suitable 12-volt battery and begin processing classified paydirt or concentrates.
The Gold Buster packs into its included 18-gallon plastic tub for convenient transportation and storage. At the worksite, the tub becomes the water reservoir while the included stand supports the highbanker above it.
The 750 GPH pump returns water from the reservoir to the hopper through the included four-foot hose. Water washes material through the recovery system before draining back into the tub for reuse.
The Gold Buster combines multiple traditional recovery surfaces:
Black ribbed matting provides quick visual identification of gold
Ribbed miner’s carpet captures fine gold and heavy concentrates
An aluminum riffle and cage assembly creates protected recovery zones
The hopper and gravel catch separate oversized material from the recovery flow
This layered design is suitable for recovering fine gold, flakes and small placer gold from classified material and concentrates.

Place the reservoir tub on a firm, level surface and install the tub stand. Position the highbanker securely over the reservoir with its discharge returning water to the tub.
Mount the pump on its bracket, connect the included hose and fill the tub with sufficient clean water to keep the pump fully submerged during operation. Connect the pump to a properly charged 12-volt battery or compatible power pack.
Confirm that water flows evenly through the hopper and across the entire recovery surface before adding material.
Feed material gradually and evenly into the hopper. Avoid adding material faster than the water can wash and classify it.
Monitor the reservoir for sediment buildup. Recirculating water will become muddy during use, particularly when processing clay-rich material. Pre-classifying and breaking down clay before feeding can improve water quality and recovery performance.
Never allow the pump to operate dry. Periodically inspect the pump intake and remove leaves, gravel or sediment that could restrict water flow.
Stop feeding material and allow the recovery section to clear. Disconnect the pump from the battery before removing it or servicing the system.
Remove the riffle cage, miner’s carpet and ribbed matting carefully. Rinse each component into a clean bucket or gold pan so no concentrates are lost. Reassemble the recovery section before the next run.
