The Garrett Vortex VX7 is a fully waterproof, upgradeable metal detector built for coin, jewelry, relic, beach and shallow-water hunting. Garrett’s MD-MF technology provides powerful simultaneous multi-frequency performance, while the dedicated Multi-Frequency Salt option delivers smooth operation and dependable Target ID performance in wet sand and saltwater surf.
A dual Target ID scale displays ferrous and non-ferrous information simultaneously, helping you evaluate complex targets before digging. Adjustable recovery speed, five-tone audio, Iron Volume and Garrett Iron Audio provide the control needed for difficult sites and trash-filled ground.

Upgradeable Platform
The VX7 can be converted to the higher-featured VX9 through a separately purchased Garrett software upgrade. This allows users to expand the detector’s capabilities without replacing the physical detector.
Important Setup Notice
Update the detector to the latest Garrett firmware before use to ensure the best performance, accurate Target ID operation and compatibility with Garrett Vortex accessory coils. After saltwater use, rinse the detector and coil with clean fresh water before storage.

Iron Volume allows you to decrease the volume of ferrous (iron) targets, while the volume of non-ferrous targets remains at normal level. Experienced treasure hunters often like hearing all targets, but will appreciate the option to decrease the volume of undesired items. Eight adjustment levels.
