Upgradeable Vortex Platform
The VX5 can be converted to a VX7 or VX9 through a separately purchased Garrett software upgrade. Upgrading unlocks additional frequencies, search modes, Target ID information and advanced controls without requiring the purchase of another detector.
Important Setup Notice
Update the detector to the latest Garrett firmware before use to ensure the best performance and compatibility with Garrett Vortex accessory coils. After detecting in saltwater or dirty water, rinse the detector and coil with clean fresh water before storage.
