Finally, a gold prospecting detector anyone can afford! The newly designed Gold Bug Tracker metal detector has been custom designed to find the smallest gold nuggets, but unlike specialized gold prospecting detectors it can also be used for relic hunting and coin shooting.
The Gold Bug Tracker has been tested for years in Africa before being recently released in the United States where it has undergone further testing by some of the industry's most experienced, professional gold prospectors.
The Gold Bug Tracker is unique among gold prospecting metal detectors for its combination of high sensitivity to small gold nuggets. The controls and features are tailored two gold prospecting, including a sophisticated ground, balancing system, separate control over the signal gain and threshold, and a unique discrimination control system. These features also make for a great relic hunting detector, especially when the metal detector is outfitted with the optional 11 inch double D search coil.
The Gold Bug Tracker has been designed to be the industry's most affordable gold prospecting metal detectors. It is easy to use and very versatile metal detector that can also be used to locate coins, jewelry, and relics.

Right out of the box I found the usual nails foil etc. in my yard. But I also found a shred of lead from a pellet only 0.01gms. Very lightweight easy to use detector. I will be reexploring all the old mines nearby. Can't wait!
I wanted a lost cost gold detector and this is it. Easy to assemble and made with quality parts. I did some air tests with lead and small gold nuggets. It will detect a single lead birdshot up to 1/2 inch away from the coil-at high sensitivity of course. I haven’t taken it out to the gold fields yet but I will at some point. Overall, I’m happy with this detector.

I had an original GB2, a Minelab GP Extreme and a GPX5000 in my younger days and had a fair amount of success with each. I found the 2 oz nugget at Rich Hill with my GB2 which got me into John B's (RIP) exclusive One Ouncer Club. I retired and sold my detectors a few years ago, then recently had second thoughts and saw Chris Ralph's YouTube video on this Gold Bug Tracker detector. I am now back in northern NV and have been out in the field with this detector. So far I found a bullet and 3 hot rocks and I am impresse4d. The discrimination is right on. I obviously dug the bullet and I dug the hot rocks just to be sure. I don't know about depth, but I'm pretty sure if I get within a couple feet of a 2 pound whopper like Richard Bailey found with his GB2, this detector will let me know about it.
It's at the post office but I haven't made it into town yet, will review later
