I think for the price, the gold bug tracker is a great machine. Where i live is pretty heavily mineralised. The gbt can get chatty at full gain, signaling on hot rocks, but with the gain lowered its quite silent until near a target. First metal detector
Right out of the box I found the usual nails foil etc. in my yard. But I also found a shred of lead from a pellet only 0.01gms. Very lightweight easy to use detector. I will be reexploring all the old mines nearby. Can't wait!

A quality detector
I wanted a lost cost gold detector and this is it. Easy to assemble and made with quality parts. I did some air tests with lead and small gold nuggets. It will detect a single lead birdshot up to 1/2 inch away from the coil-at high sensitivity of course. I haven’t taken it out to the gold fields yet but I will at some point. Overall, I’m happy with this detector.
