Fantastic product - nice and compact for my Gold Monster. I now can fit my Minelab Gold Monster in a backpack. The rod is also lighter than the original. The blue/black matches the Gold Monster color scheme nicely.

After a lot of comparison shopping with other telescopic shafts, I decided on this one. It wasn't the cheapest, but it was one of the better reviewed so I had a good idea of what I was getting. Unlike some of the others, the upper shaft section is the same diameter as the original shaft, so the original armrest fits it. The shaft comes with a replacement control arm bracket that allows the control arm to be adjusted to any position on the upper shaft. The shaft has a deep track that runs its full length that serves to stiffen the shaft and keep the control arm centered. Even though the Tele-Knox is made from carbon fiber, it is not significantly lighter than the original shift, which is very light anyway. Given that, the main attraction of the Tele-Knox is its ease of collapsing. The original shaft can be disassembled to a similar size also, but it's a little more work. If the Tele-Knox shaft included a quick release mechanism for the coil to take the collapsed length even lower, that would make it a slam dunk.
