Break open weathered bedrock and expose gold-bearing material with The Mosser Crevice Chisel. Made from quarter-inch-thick solid steel, this heavy-duty hand tool is designed for loosening compacted gravel, widening cracks and excavating material from areas that larger prospecting tools cannot reach.
The 16-inch length provides useful reach and leverage, while the cushioned comfort-grip handle offers better control during demanding fieldwork. An integrated handle hole allows an optional wrist strap or lanyard to be attached.

Gold and other heavy minerals commonly settle inside cracks, joints and low spots in bedrock. The Mosser helps open and clean these locations so trapped material can be removed and processed.
Its narrow chisel profile concentrates force along the working edge, making it useful for breaking apart loose rock, scraping crevices and loosening stubborn deposits. The solid-steel body provides the strength required for regular excavation work.

Remove dirt, clay and gravel after each use. Rinse the tool with clean water and dry it thoroughly before storage. Apply a light coating of protective oil to exposed steel when needed to help prevent corrosion.
Wear gloves and impact-rated eye protection when using this tool. Maintain a secure grip, direct the working edge away from your body and keep other people clear of the excavation area. Inspect the tool before each use and discontinue use if the steel or handle becomes damaged. Do not use near buried utility lines. Keep out of reach of children.
This heavy duty crevice chisel is an ideal tool for breaking loose bedrock and cracks to get the gold others have missed. Made of solid steel it is rugged enough for heavy duty excavating. Hole in the handle to allow an attachment strap or hanging.
