Pump and Plumbing Requirements

A compatible water pump, hose, fittings, and flow-control valve must be added before this conversion can operate as a highbanker or powered sluice.

Select a pump that provides appropriate water flow for the A52S conversion. When using a 12-volt pump, match the battery, wiring, fuse protection, and connectors to the pump manufacturer’s requirements. Never operate a pump dry.

Recirculating Operation

For recirculating use, position the pump in an adequately sized water reservoir and direct the sluice discharge into a tailings container or settling area. Prevent sediment from returning directly to the pump, as accumulated sand and gravel can restrict water flow or damage the pump.

Monitor water level, sediment buildup, sluice angle, and flow throughout operation.
