Cleaning and Care
Wash the knife before its first use and after every food-preparation task. Clean it with warm water and dish soap, rinse thoroughly, and dry it immediately. Remove fish residue, salt, and other contaminants from both the knife and sheath.
Although 420 stainless steel resists corrosion, it is not completely rustproof. Apply a light coating of food-safe knife oil when appropriate, especially before extended storage or after saltwater exposure.
Allow the sheath to drain and dry completely before reinserting the knife. Store both pieces in a cool, dry location.
