Steve’s “Tall Man” Carbon Fiber Lower Rod provides additional detector length for taller Equinox 700 and 900 users who find the standard shaft too short. The extended lower rod helps users maintain a more comfortable, upright detecting posture while keeping the search coil properly positioned in front of them.

Constructed from 100% 3K carbon fiber, the rod combines low weight with excellent strength and rigidity. A CNC-machined POM/Delrin clevis provides a durable connection point for the search coil.

This listing is for the Equinox 700 and 900 shaft system. These detectors use a different shaft design than the Equinox 600 and 800. Confirm your detector model before ordering.

The lower rods for the Minelab Equinox 700/900 metal detector are crafted from 100% 3K carbon-fiber, with a finish akin to that of the original shaft for a consistent aesthetic. A POM "clevis" is affixed to the end of the rod, an engineering-grade plastic for optimal durability. This lower rod is designed for integration with the stock Minelab Equinox 700/900 middle shaft, as well as Steve's Detector Rods two-piece lower shaft assembly.
