Spin It Off is the newest cool tool at an affordable price in Gold Mining. It is used to separate the magnetite from your concentrates. Simply hook this up to any drill motor and spin it through the concentrates to collect all of the magnetic black sands. I had mixed results from my first test. The magnet works as advertised. However, when I spun it, barely faster than the slowest possible speed, something inside seemed to break loose and created a terrible clatter and vibration. This happened intermittently and I had no way to control the issue. Also, the spinning shaft makes contact with the end of the plastic cup and adds to the vibration. I would like to take the thing apart, but don't see any way to do that, except to drill out a tiny pin in he cap with no guarantee this would allow the cap to be removed. Overall, I,m frustrated with a potentially excellent tool.
