Basic Operation

Place a small amount of material into the mortar. Use the pestle to strike and grind the sample until the desired particle size is reached. Process small batches rather than overfilling the crushing chamber.

For finer material, screen the crushed sample and return oversized pieces to the mortar for another pass.

Unpainted Finish

This crusher is supplied without paint or a protective coating. The unfinished metal may show normal manufacturing marks, color variations or light surface oxidation.

To help prevent rust:

• Keep the crusher clean and dry

• Remove dust and moisture after each use

• Apply a light coat of appropriate rust-preventive oil before storage

• Store in a dry location

• Paint or coat the exterior if additional corrosion protection is desired

Clean all protective oils from the crushing surfaces before processing material that must remain free of contamination.
