Doc’s Gold PIT™ Treasure Scoop and Portable Gold Pan
Speed up the recovery and isolation of small gold with Doc’s Gold PIT Treasure Scoop. Designed for metal detecting, bedrock sniping, and sampling pay dirt, this specialized scoop combines a recovery scoop with the concentrating features of a miniature gold pan.
A recessed channel directs heavy material toward the molded Gold PIT, while progressive riffles help retain gold as lighter material is worked out of the scoop. Its squared front edge is also useful for scraping loose material from bedrock cracks and gathering soil into a manageable pile.

Faster Target Isolation
After locating a target, scoop up the material and pass portions over the detector coil until the target is isolated. Gently agitating the scoop helps heavier gold settle into the recessed channel while lighter dirt moves forward.
For very small gold, reduce the material to a small amount, tilt the scoop approximately 45 degrees, and gently agitate it. The recessed channel guides the heavier material back into the textured Gold PIT for final separation.
