What Makes the Ultimate Gray Ghost Platinum Different?

The Ultimate Gray Ghost Platinum takes the proven Gray Ghost headphone design to another level with premium speaker technology and advanced audio features.

Enhanced Platinum Series Audio

The upgraded Platinum speakers are designed for excellent sensitivity and sound reproduction, helping detectorists recognize subtle changes in target signals.

Selectable Signal Limiting

Unlike headphones with a permanently engaged limiter, the Ultimate Gray Ghost allows you to switch its audio-limiting circuitry on or off.

When activated, the limiter helps reduce excessively loud signals from shallow or large metal objects without requiring batteries.

Improved Cable Protection

The specially designed neck-hugging cable connection and industrial-grade strain relief help reduce cable stress and minimize snagging when detecting around branches, brush, and rough terrain.

Ideal for Serious Treasure Hunters

Coin Hunting: Hear subtle target tones when searching for deep silver coins and older coins in parks and historic locations.

Relic Hunting: Focus on faint and partially masked signals while searching fields, wooded areas, and old homesteads.

Gold Prospecting: Listen carefully for small target responses while detecting in challenging terrain.

Extended Detecting Sessions: Comfortable ear cushions, adjustable fit, and passive noise isolation help make long hunts more enjoyable.

Metal Detector Compatibility

Designed for compatible metal detectors equipped with a standard 1/4" (6.35mm) headphone output.

The integrated compatibility selector provides additional flexibility for different detector audio configurations.

Important: Some newer metal detectors use proprietary waterproof connections, 1/8" headphone jacks, or wireless audio systems. Additional adapters may be necessary, and compatibility is not guaranteed with every detector.

These are wired land-use headphones and are not intended for underwater detecting.

Hear the difference with DetectorPro Ultimate Gray Ghost Platinum Headphones from High Plains Prospectors!

The Ultimate Gray Ghost® is our new no-holds-barred category killer headphone.
This is one headphone you have to try for yourself in order to believe. We started with our now famous Original Gray Ghost headphone and added all the custom enhancements our customers have been requesting most. Now you too can have the ultimate sound quality made possible by special speaker elements in a tuned cavity design. This design means greater sensitivity to tiny targets and more raw power at full volume.   Our special limiter circuit gives you a smooth reduction at excess volume levels, not like our imitators’ noise-inducing clipping effect, and our limiter can be disabled with a flip of a switch. Additional new features are an industrial grade nylon 6/6 strain relief at a new neck-hugging angle. This reduces stress on the cable and helps it fall closer to your body for fewer branch snags in the most rugged terrain. Try one and we are sure you will agree that no one has ever built a metal detector headphone anywhere near this clear and this sensitive with as many features as the Ultimate Gray Ghost.
