Product Information

Conserv™ Safe Coin Cleaning Solvent – 4 oz. Bottle

Safely Remove PVC Residue, Dirt & Surface Contaminants from Coins

Conserv™ Safe Coin Cleaning Solvent is a professional conservation solution developed specifically for coin collectors, numismatists, metal detectorists, and restoration enthusiasts. Engineered to remove surface contaminants such as PVC residue, grease, oils, adhesives, and other foreign deposits, Conserv helps reveal a coin's natural appearance without polishing or abrading the metal. It was originally developed for industrial surface preparation before its effectiveness in coin conservation was recognized.

Unlike harsh acids or abrasive cleaners, Conserv is formulated to dissolve unwanted surface residues while leaving the underlying metal and original toning undisturbed when used as directed.

  • Metal detector finds

  • Silver coins

  • Gold coins

  • Nickel coins

  • Copper and bronze coins*

  • Proof and uncirculated coins

  • Tokens and medals

*Always test on copper or bronze coins first, as existing patinas and corrosion products can react differently depending on the coin's condition.
