Black Beard Fire Starter is formulated to resist water and continue burning in windy conditions. The wax-and-oil treatment does not evaporate or dissipate during normal storage, giving the rope an indefinite published shelf life when stored properly.

One 65-gram stick can provide tinder for more than 50 fires, depending on how much material is used for each ignition. The complete stick provides up to four hours of total published burn time when portions are combined.

Directions for Use

1. Cut off a small portion of the fire rope.

2. Roll the material briskly between your hands to loosen the fibers.

3. Separate and fluff the fibers into a loose ball or tinder nest.

4. Place the prepared tinder beneath dry kindling.

5. Ignite it with a ferro rod, match, lighter, or electric arc lighter.

6. Gradually add additional kindling and fuel as the fire becomes established.
