The 16" Type X Slim Crevice Tool is designed to reach into narrow bedrock cracks, seams, and confined spaces where placer gold and heavy concentrates frequently collect. Its long, slender steel construction and curved Type X profile help prospectors loosen, scrape, and pull compacted material from areas that are difficult to clean with conventional hand tools.

Made in the USA from solid American steel, this lightweight but rugged tool is useful for crevicing, gold sniping, sluicing, highbanking, dredging, and general bedrock cleanup. The comfort-grip handle provides a more secure hold while working around wet, muddy, or uneven rock surfaces.

Curved Type X Profile

The curved Type X working profile provides useful angles for following irregular bedrock cracks, cleaning beneath small ledges, and reaching material trapped deeper inside a crevice.

Its slim 1/8" thickness fits into narrow openings, while the 16" overall length provides additional reach. Once the material is loosened, it can be removed with a scoop, brush, suction bottle, snuffer bottle, or crevice vacuum.
